What are the documents required for registering a rent agreement?

Owner: PAN as well as Aadhaar.
Tenant: PAN as well as Aadhaar.
Witness: Aadhaar only.
In case of a power of attorney holder: soft copy of the power of attorney documents along with a declaration which we will share with you.

Do I need a hard copy of the documents?

No, hard copy documents are not required. You have to share the entire content over email, Word File, or Online Portal only.

How many witnesses are required?

Two witnesses are required. They can be any person but must have an Aadhaar card and be above 18 years old.

Two places visit possible as my owner/tenant can't come to my place?

Yes, this is possible depending on the availability of our executive in that location. An extra amount will apply as visiting charges.

What if my owner is out of the station and can't come for biometric verification?

You can proceed with either a co-owner or power of attorney holder for biometric verification. Within Maharashtra, we will send an executive for capturing biometric. Outside Maharashtra, we have a presence in many metro cities where our associates can visit your place and get biometric. If we do not have a presence at the requested place, we will send the biometric device via courier and our technical team will help the person over the phone to capture biometric remotely. The person will need a laptop with a camera.

What if my owner is out of the country and can't come for biometric verification?

You can proceed with either a co-owner or power of attorney holder for biometric verification. We have a presence in many countries including the USA, Dubai, Japan, England, etc., where our associates can visit your place and get biometric. If we do not have a presence at the requested place, we will send the biometric device via courier or it can be purchased by the concerned person, and our technical team will help over the phone to capture biometric remotely. The person will need a laptop with a camera.

Is part payment possible? I want to pay half at the time of biometric verification and the remaining half at the time of delivery.

No, there is no option to pay half at the time of biometric verification and the remaining half at the time of delivery, as you will receive your Rent Agreement copy via email/WhatsApp (digital delivery). The entire payment has to be done before the biometric visit, as we have to pay stamp duty and registration fees to the government before taking biometric. However, part payment can be done before biometric as many times the amount is divided equally between tenant and owner.
